5. Legal Bases for UK Users

For users in the United Kingdom, we rely on contract, consent, legitimate interests, and legal obligation as applicable. You may withdraw consent where processing is based on consent, but this may limit the feature that depends on it.

6. AI and Automation

Bubsby uses AI and automation to extract dates, reminders, tasks, people, places, summaries, conflicts, categories, and next steps from household information. Important actions remain reviewable and user-controlled.

We do not intend for AI to make legal, financial, health, employment, credit, housing, or similarly significant decisions about users. When we use third-party AI providers, we require provider terms or settings that prevent your Bubsby content from being used to train their general AI models, unless you have expressly agreed otherwise.

7. When We Share Information

We may share information with cloud hosting, database, storage, authentication, security, email, notification, support, analytics, diagnostics, error monitoring, session replay, AI, OCR, transcription, payment, subscription, calendar, email, and integration providers. We may also share information with advisers, regulators, law enforcement, courts, or another business in a merger, acquisition, financing, restructuring, or sale of assets, subject to appropriate safeguards.

8. International Transfers

Bubsby may process and store information in countries outside your country of residence, including the United States and other locations where our service providers operate. We take steps designed to protect information when transferred internationally, including contractual safeguards, provider security commitments, data processing terms, and limiting access to what is needed to provide the service.

9. Security

We use administrative, technical, and organisational safeguards designed to protect personal information, including encrypted cloud infrastructure, encryption of sensitive authentication tokens at rest, access controls scoped to accounts and households, provider security controls, logging, monitoring, abuse prevention, and limited internal access based on operational need.

No system can be guaranteed completely secure. If we become aware of a data breach that requires notice, we will notify affected users and regulators as required by applicable law.

10. Retention and Deletion

We keep personal information for as long as needed to provide Bubsby, comply with law, resolve disputes, maintain security, and enforce our terms.

  • active account and household data is kept while your account remains active
  • deleted account data is removed or de-identified within a reasonable period, subject to backups, legal obligations, billing records, fraud prevention, and dispute records
  • backup copies may remain for a limited period before being overwritten
  • diagnostic logs, analytics, and security records may be kept for shorter operational periods unless needed to investigate abuse, errors, or security incidents
  • billing, tax, and transaction records may be retained where required by law
